With high engine power and a focused suspension setup, A110S offers an intense sports car driving experience. The chassis is tuned for ultimate handling response and steering precision while the engine is optimised for thrilling power delivery. Unique styling elements such as black wheels and carbon flags emblems, orange brake calipers and Dinamica upholstery mirror the car’s purposeful character.
Ultimate handling response, high engine power and sophisticated design: A110S is Alpine’s most intense sports car.
Characterised by high power output, immediate response, thrilling delivery and an emotive soundtrack, the 1.8-litre turbocharged direct injection engine amplifies A110S’s intense sports car character. Mounted directly behind the passenger compartment and powering the rear wheels, it is tuned to continue pushing forward forcefully even at very high engine speeds.
The turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivers a maximum power output of 292PS. Maximale torque of 320 Nm is available from 2000 to 6400rpm.
Transferring that power to the rear wheels is an ultra-responsive, seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Aluminium paddles on the steering column give the driver manual control over the gearbox for an engaging and rewarding drive.
With high engine power and lightweight construction, A110S returns intense straight-line performance and a power to weight ratio of 262PS/tonne. Using the launch control function, A110S sprints to 100kph (62mph) in just 4.4 seconds.
Combining styling cues from the iconic A110 Berlinette with modern design features and unique styling elements, notably black wheels and contrasting orange brake calipers, A110S looks as purposeful from the outside as it feels to drive. Frenchman Antony Villain and his design team captured Alpine’s rich heritage while also highlighting the focused nature of A110S.
Exclusive to A110S, the optional Gris Tonnerre (Thunder Grey) paintwork with a matte finish is the car’s signature colour. Combined with a lowered ride height and contrasting orange details, the matte paint finish ensures A110S looks as purposeful from the outside as it feels to drive.
With full LED technology as standard, A110S’s instantly recognisable four headlamp design is inspired by the classic Alpine models of the Sixties and Seventies. Dynamic turn indicators in the rear lights hint at the car’s present day engineering.
Constructed from aluminium for lightness and bonded and riveted for strength, the compact body forms the basis of A110S’s handling precision and high-speed stability. Sculpted flanks and a spine over the bonnet are signature Alpine design cues.
Finished in black to reflect the car’s purposeful character, A110S’s standard 18” ‘GT Race’ alloy wheels are exclusive to this top of the range model. Optionally available are lightweight 18” ‘Fuchs’ forged wheels in a titanium finish, which reduce the overall weight of the car by 5kg. They also reduce unsprung mass, which ensures A110S handles with an exceptional degree of immediacy and precision.
A110S introduces a new Sport chassis. More focused in terms of set-up, it features springs that are 50 per cent stiffer and anti-roll bars that are twice as firm, plus wider tyres with a new compound, all of which allows for high cornering grip and immediate handling response.
A110S’s double wishbone suspension contributes to its high-speed stability and handling precision. Along with the lightweight aluminium body, the double wishbone suspension forms the very basis of the car’s agility. Supplied by Brembo, the high-performance brakes are powerful and durable.
A110S offers a choice of three driving modes. Using the Mode Selector function, the driver can switch between Normal, Sport or Track to adjust throttle response, steering assistance, gearshift speeds, exhaust sound and ESC level to suit the driving conditions.
By using the rear brakes to precisely manage torque delivery between the driven wheels, the torque vectoring system delivers superb traction and stability even in low-grip conditions, further enhancing the car’s precision and agility.
High-end Dinamica upholstery and contrasting orange stitching underline A110S’s purposeful and sophisticated nature, while climate control air conditioning and smart phone connectivity ensure the car is easy to use as well as exciting to drive.
Access to the cabin is among the best in the sports car class thanks to very low sills, while the front and rear stowage compartments enhance A110S’s everyday usability. The cabin offers sufficient headroom even for very tall drivers
The automatic air conditioning climate control system, which includes a particle filter and a windscreen defrost function, means A110S is undemanding and comfortable in everyday use throughout all four seasons.
Weighing just 13.1kgs each, the one-piece Sabelt sports seats offer excellent support and comfort while also contributing to the overall lightness of the car. Trimmed in Dinamica, their shells can be optionally finished in carbon fibre.
The flat-bottomed sports steering wheel, which incorporates the Mode Selector button, is set off by an orange 12 o’clock marker. Adjustable for rake and reach, the steering column also houses the pair of aluminium gearshift paddles.
A110S offers a full range of multimedia functions via its 7” central touchscreen, from smart phone mirroring and satellite navigation to in-car entertainment. Drivers can also view performance driving data during track days. As well as displaying performance driving data, Alpine Telemetrics enables the driver to record lap times at track days. It also shows real-time technical information such as power and torque output, turbo boost pressure and engine and tyre temperatures.
The four-speaker Focal stereo incorporates patented flax cone technology, which helps to keep the overall weight of A110S to a minimum while also giving a crisp and rich sound quality. A DAB radio, two USB ports, Bluetooth and MySpin mobile connectivity offer a full range of in-car entertainment.
The high-resolution 7” touchscreen houses many of A110S’s standard multimedia functions, including in-car entertainment, smart phone mirroring for Android and iOS devices and full European satellite navigation.
